Result: Lost 3-0; 11/8 13/11 11/9

It was a good experience to play her, as we have never played against each other before. She is the queen of disguise, quirky shots and varied pace, so you never know what’s coming.

I should have capitalized on my lead in the 2nd game, after being 9-4 up. but i took my foot off the pedal when i should have pushed harder. All in all, it was a long match, considering it was 3-0.

SA Nationals

 

I had a good run at Nationals, ranked as the No.1 seed. I beat the current SA.No.1 on the rankings Milnay Louw, 3-0 in the semi-finals, but forgot how deadly left-handed Diana Argyle was. I haven’t played against her in over 3 years, and played completely the wrong game. We were both fighting to get the ball on each other’s backhands, and as a result i played far too many inaccurate cross courts, which were then preyed upon. Disappointed to lose that one, but who ever one, would have received their maiden SA Champ title. I lost 3-1.
