A weekend of rest

Two days of rest…of fun…of shopping for squash shoes…of being quite girly…and enjoying the atmosphere in the biggest shopping mall in central europe, SATURN. This type of resting is called an “active rest”. you gotta love it!

Sunday, more peaceful…tried to visit one of the churches, hoping to find one that was english speaking. Well…found one, but German speaking…and when i walked in, they all walked out!! No, no … not what u think – i didn’t stink or anything. The service was over 🙂  These churches are more traditional, by the look of things; very different to my charismatic church in Cape Town, Jubilee Community Church in Observatory.  I love the way we worship God together there, and live our lives together too; people from all over the world, all walks of life, so many languages, and we enjoy singing songs of praise in all these languages. I am looking forward to seeing what I will learn from this German culture.

I did a little bit of sight seeing today by visiting the nearby city of Belefeld. I must say, i did enjoy looking like a tourist.

A new week of squash work awaits. I’ll be sure to keep you posted. I would imagine the difficulty rating can only go up, not down. Bring it on!!!

    Hi Siyoli,
Glad to hear that you are enjoying things and that the ‘beating’ isnt that bad. 😉 I mus admit that I am enjoying reading your blog [so keep it coming] and I feel a sense of pride that Cape Town’s finest talent is going to make her mark on the world squash circuit.

    Good Luck

    Jason

  2. It’s so fantastic hearing all your news, you sound like you’re loving it over there and making the most of everything (in true Siyoli fashion) making us all proud…
